Grandmaster TM Kim's Karate School in Alpharetta, GA!
TM Kim's Tang Soo Do karate school is headed by Kim Tong Mun Kwan Jang Nim (Grandmaster), 9th Dan in Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan. Grandmaster Kim provides all day-to-day classroom instruction, offering separate classes for beginners, black-belt club students, various children's age groups and adults.
Tang Soo Do karate is a Korean martial art that shares a divergent lineage with Tae Kwon Do and more distantly with other styles of karate. Classes are offered in a traditional format with emphasis placed on proper kicking, striking and blocking techniques, footwork, forms, one-step sparring and free-fighting, and self-defense.
We welcome visitors into our school in Alpharetta, GA, to watch a class, speak with the students, or speak with Grandmaster Kim. Likewise, students and GTA members are welcome to use our student materials as a study guide/curriculum reference.

Sah Bom Nim Dennis Williams, a student of Kwan Jang Nim TM Kim's from 1983, and representatives of his school joined for a special class on their visit for Dan testing in Atlanta. We were impressed with their technique and spirit. Master Williams and Master Richards have clearly maintained an extraordinary fidelity to the Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan tradition.
May 9th, 2009: Global Tang Soo Do Association, Dan Testing
On Saturday, Kwan Jang Nim Kim presided over Dan testing for Global Tang Soo Do held at Sah Bom Nim Kim Tong Hwan's school in Snellville, GA. Among the highlights, Sah Bom Nim Kim Sung Su tested for 6th Dan and Kyo Sah Nim Simmons tested for 4th Dan. A special thanks are offered to our guests from Wales, Sah Boh Nim Dennis Williams and Sah Boh Nim Danielle Richards, along with Sah Boh Nim Sue Ball, Sah Boh Nim Claudia Lewis, Kyo Sah Nim Matthew Lewis, Kyo Sah Nim Dr. Ojore and all the students who tested for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Dan.

We had 8 1st place finishes for Hyung, 8 1st place in sparring, and 4 1st place in breaking. Congrats to the class on achieving a 90% finish in 1st and 2nd place (20 Gold, 19 Silver, 4 Bronze)!
